Michael Stone is a veteran journalist and investigative reporter for New York Magazine. His stories have been featured on the cover of the magazine over a dozen times.

Stone had two books published in 2002. His first book was Gangbusters, an investigation of how the police were able to take down a New York City gang called the “Wild Cowboys.” He also co-wrote The Cell: Inside the 9/11 Plot, and Why the FBI and CIA Failed to Stop It, about the events leading up to the Sep. 11, 2001, attacks.

In 2010, Stone wrote a science fiction novel. He lives in New York City.
