3. Biography:

Todd Purdum is a former New York Times correspondent and is currently National Editor and Political Correspondent for Vanity Fair. Prior to joining the zine in 2006, Purdum spent 23 years at The New York Times serving as White House and Political Correspondent from 1994 to 1997. He then went on to serve as The Times Los Angeles Bureau Chief from 1997 until 2001, also holding the positions of Metropolitan Reporter and City Hall Bureau Chief in New York. An award-winning journalist, Purdum is also the author of A Time of Our Choosing: America’s War in Iraq, a comprehensive and dramatic account of the build-up to the war in Iraq.

He has two children with former President Clinton White House Press Secretary Dee Dee Meyers, and currently resides in Washington, D.C.
