Vincent Bugliosi, author and lawyer, is a former LA County Assistant Deputy District Attorney. During his career in the DA's office, he successfully prosecuted 105 out of 106 felony jury trials, including 21 murder convictions. Bugliosi ran for Los Angeles County District Attorney in 1972, and in 1976, losing both elections narrowly.
He is most well known for his successful prosecution of Charles Manson, and the case was the basis for his most well known book Helter Skelter - a New York Times #1 bestseller. In addition to Helter Skelter, his books And the Sea Will Tell and Outrage were also #1 New York Times bestsellers.
Bugliosi is also the author of The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder. In this book, Bugliosi presents a tightly researched legal case that puts George W. Bush on trial for war crimes committed as part of the invasion of Iraq.
On July 25th, 2008, he testified at a House Judiciary Committee meeting where he advocated for the prosecution of then President George W. Bush.
As of 2010, Bugliosi continues to argue that George W. Bush and other top administration officials should be prosecuted for taking this nation to war in Iraq under false pretenses.
